our prices

We taylor our care to our patients, so it would be impossible to give a price breakdown for every possible item or treatment.  However, here is a list of some of our services.  If the price that you are looking for is not here, please let us know and we will let you know the price or will book you in with one of our vets (if an consultation is needed before we can work out what your pet will need).

Sick Pet Consultation –  £67 (vet) £28.50 (nurse)  - Included free of charge in ‘The Club’ – our health plan

We allocate 20 min slots for our patients – this is in contrast to some practices which only allocate 10 mins or less – although this includes the vets time taken to write notes, clean the room and greet you and your pet, it still means that our vets and nurses have a significant amount of time to listen to you, examine your pet and explain any treatments to you.  We always try to email you a copy of the most important bits of the medical notes after the consultation, so that you have a reminder of what happened in your consultation.

Annual Health Check and Booster – £83 - Included free of charge in ‘The Club’ – our health plan

Just like for our sick pet consultations, we allocate 20 min slots for our patients – this is in contrast to some practices which only allocate 10 mins or less – although this includes the vets time taken to write notes, clean the room and greet you and your pet, it still means that our vets and nurses have a significant amount of time to listen to you, examine your pet and explain any treatments to you.  We always try to email you a copy of the most important bits of the medical notes after the consultation, so that you have a reminder of what happened in your consultation.  Of course, we will also administer the regular annual vaccination as needed (e.g. Distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, leptospirosis for dogs, Cat Flu, panleukopaenia and FeLV for cats) which help to keep your pet healthy.

Emergency Consultations – £123 (if consultation starts and ends during normal opening hours 9am-7pm)  £234.50 (if consultation starts and/or ends outside of 9am-7pm)

Even if we don’t have any appointment slots available, if it is an emergency we will move things round and possibly cancel routine appointments to make sure your pet is treated and taken care of.  Therefore, these appointments are charged at more than the usual consultation rate.

Puppy Vaccinations (or restart adult dog vaccinations) – £104.22

A course of two vaccinations to give puppies initial protection against some pretty nasty bugs.  Also includes a health check and consultation with our vets at the time of the first vaccination.  Please feel free to ask questions at this first appointment about your puppy and their care.

Kitten Vaccinations (or restart adult cat vaccinations) - £106.36

A course of two vaccinations to give kittens initial protection against some pretty nasty bugs.  Also includes a health check and consultation with our vets at the time of the first vaccination.  Please feel free to ask questions at this first appointment about your puppy and their care.  (kitten vaccinations are a little more expensive for the practice to purchase from the manufacturers, hence the slightly higher fee compared with puppies).

Rabbit Annual Vaccinations – £121.14

A single vaccination giving protection against myxomatosis and 2 strains or viral haemorrhagic disease.  Includes a full health check and a consultation with one of our lovely vets.

Kennel cough Vaccination – £60.76 (if given at the same time as other vaccinations) £79 (if not given at the same time as other vaccinations).

Not necessary for most dogs, but some dogs might need this – we will give you doggo a full health check and then give the vaccination (which is given in the form of a nose drop).

Rabies Vaccination – £109.63

Usually only needed for dogs, cats (and ferrets) who are travelling abroad.  As part of the cost, you will have a full consultation with one of our vets and they will examine your pet and try to answer any questions you have about pet travel – remember, we are not dedicated travel vets, so although we will do our best to help, we may have to direct you to sources of information that will give you your answer.

Microchip – £71.68 – you get 10% off the price if your pet is in ‘The Club’ – our health plan

A really important way of identifying your pet - a legal requirement for dogs and for cats (from June 2024).  We will also register your microchip with a national database to increase the chance of your pet being reunited if lost.

Castration (males) – £154.75 (cats) £228.27 (rabbits) £313.39 (dogs)

You will see a vet in the morning who will go through the procedure with you.  We will check your boy to make sure that we are safe to proceed with the procedure and we will go through the risks with you.  General anaesthetic is administered by our vets and nurse team and the surgery will be done under sterile conditions to minimise the risk of infection.  We have a patient monitoring system which monitors heart rate, blood pressure etc. and helps us to keep your pet safe.  Once recovered, we will offer something to eat and give lots of cuddles (if wanted!) until you come to collect in the evening.  The price includes the surgery, anaesthetic, pain killers to go home with, a protective collar to help protect the wound and post operative consultations (upto 6 weeks after the surgery if needed – although usually everything is healed in a few days  - although for dogs, we like to not let them out fully off the lead until 2 weeks post surgery).

Spay (females) - For non-pregnant pets: £211.33 (cats) £281.41 (rabbit) £455.43 (Pre-pubescent dog) £512.54 (Post pubescent dog).
