Meet our new vet Sara

Jodie, one of our long standing and well loved vets has recently gone on maternity leave. Congratulations to her. It also means that we had an empty space in our diary, which has allowed us to welcome the wonderful vet Dr. Sara, who started at the practice a few weeks ago. Like all of the team, Sara is wonderfully friendly and easy to talk to and in the last few weeks she has already helped many of our pet patients. you can read a bit more about her clicking on her picture here

New ultrasound scanner

We have just got a new ultrasound scanner worth over £25,000 and is top of the range! Ultrasound scans allow us to see inside of our patients in a totally non invasive and painless way. This new scanner replaces our older scanner and will allow us to see more detail, make more precise measurements and therefore allow faster diagnosis and treatment. Come in for a demo if you'd like to see what it can do! Read more

Barney's story

Barney came in to see us as an urgent appointment after he quickly developed very nasty bloody diarrhoea and started vomiting. Bloody diarrhoea in any dog but especially young and small breeds can become very serious very quickly and the dehydration that results can be life threatening. However, with prompt and appropriate treatment they normally come back bouncing just like Barney! Barney's story

We had a chat with RSPCA Finchley

We met up with RSPCA Finchley and found out more about the wonderful work they do. We asked them about their day to day work, their fostering and adoption processes and where people should go if they would like to foster or adopt an animal. They also gave us a lovely story with a happy ending! Read our RSPCA Finchley interview

Heartwarming story alert

One of our clients adopted Panda after they saw a post we shared from RSPCA Friern Barnet on our Facebook page. "Panda is settling in so well. In spite of his hard life on the streets, he is the sweetest, most loving cat. His favourite thing to do is groom his humans as shown in the photo! We are so lucky to have found him and its all thanks to The Finchley Vet's post!" It's wonderful to hear how well Panda is doing in his new home!
