Is your rabbit vaccinated against RVHD2?

RVHD2 is a new strain of rabbit disease. Although similar to RVHD1, they are different. There are reported cases of RVHD2 in the UK and we think it's vital for all rabbits nowadays to have this vaccination.

The regular vaccinations for rabbits do not cover RVHD2. Summer is a great time to vaccinate as the flying insects that carry the disease are more prevalent at the moment and throughout the summer. Rabbits therefore need two vaccinations - one for the myxomatosis and RVHD1 and a second vaccination that covers for the RVHD2 strain (given at least 2 weeks apart from the other vaccination) - they can be given in any order and can be more than 2 weeks apart if required.
